Three Quick and Easy Ways to Open Sink Drain

This article will tell you three easy ways you can take care of without calling a plumber.

Unfortunately, it is a fact of life that the drain of the sinks, sinks and bathtubs is blocked from time to time. These are usually caused by the clogging of some of the outgoing pipes. But if more than one of your basins is clogging at the same time, or if the water flows too slowly, the problem may be in your house's pipeline.

This article will tell you three easy ways you can take care of without calling a plumber.

Also in this article we will tell you about the correct type of pumps to be used for sinks, bathtubs and shower expenses, and how to deal with if the blockage is a little more stubborn.

Materials and Tools You May Need

Easy First Step: Boiled Water

The reason for the clogging of the washbasin and bathtub drain is caused by the clogging of the pipes formed by the combination of hair, oil, soap and water. If you go to the pipes, you can try to open the blockages using hot, boiling water. Pouring water into the drain with the help of a teapot can relieve the obstruction, especially if this blockage is caused by soap residues and oil. Hot water flowing from the tap will not work, boiled water should be used.

Caution: Do not pour boiled water directly from your porcelain sink, pour it directly into the drain. And if you have plastic PVC pipes, you shouldn't use boiled water because this water will be warmer than 100 degrees and it can soften your pipes. You can use a pump to clean your plastic drain pipes.

1-Boil about three liters of water in your stove or using kettle.

2-Carry this water carefully until the sink is clogged.

3. Pour the boiled water slowly into the drain (not directly to the porcelain cut), and see if it removes the blockage.

4-If the blockage is not opened, proceed to the next step, ie use a pump.

There are two types of pump for household use. Pump with round pump and handle (also known as toilet pump). You should use a round pump to open the washbasins, showers and bathtub.

1-If you are trying to open the sink in your bathroom, you will also need to close the top part, which is located near the basin of the sink. You can use a piece of duct tape to seal this place. Another technique to close the overhead is to clog the fabric. If you are trying to open a cuvette drain, you must close the upper drain on the front of the cuvette.

2-If the congestion is in the kitchen, you should remove the covers that cover this place. You should also remove the covers in the bathroom expenses.

3- Fill the sink halfway with water. If you are working with a bathtub or shower, you must fill one or two inches of water at the bottom. This will ensure a seal around the round pump.

4-Insert the drain pump into the drain and make sure that it is fully seated and sealed.

5-You will need to pump quickly and vigorously to ensure that the parts that prevent the flow of water are removed quickly. You may need to support the box covering the overhead cover by hand – the duct tape can loosen or even fully open due to the pressure of the air.

6-Once cleared, leave the water on for a while. Reopen the upper drain and replace if there is a cover you removed.

7-If the obstruction did not resolve this step, proceed to the next step.

If you have not been able to remove the blockage with the help of a pump, you can use other tools, you can use a sink opening wire. It is easy and effective to use these tools.

1-Lift the drain cover and release the sink release wire. Pull the tool up slightly and adjust it when you feel that the wire is coincident.

2-Apply a strong but gentle pressure to the turning part of the wire and start turning.

3-You can extend the cable as long as you are trying to open the plug. If you have occluded, it must open the blockage.

4-Repeat this procedure and when you open the blockage, open the hot water and let it flow for a while.

If you have extended the entire wire before it coincides with the obstruction, it is probably one of the branches of the obstruction. Proceed to the next step to remove blockages in these pipes.

Even though it's a little longer for the bottlenecks that are more distant from the bottom of the expense, you still need to complete a few steps that you can easily handle.

1-Place the bucket on the bottom of the sink so that the water that will flow when you open the bottom will be poured here.

2-Loosen the holders at the bottom of the sink using the wrench. After this part, open the lower part of the pipe. Note how the nylon parts form a seal, so don't be forced back on.

3-Pour the water from the bottom of the sink into the bucket. At the same time, the pipes will come from both ends of the water.

4-Insert the sink opening wire into the drain pipe. When you feel congestion, pull it up a few inches and secure it.

5-Turn the wire arm firmly but gently.

6-Release the wire if necessary to keep the plug.

7-Close the bottom of the sink again and leave the hot water open for a while to send the remaining dirt.

Do not use. Chemical cleaners are neither environmentally friendly nor friendly to your household's expense system, and the use of these chemicals is harmful to human health.

In addition to these damages, chemical cleaners can rarely lead to persistent blockages. And when they are unable to open a pipe system with both water and toxic substances will need to be cleaned by hand.

The above mentioned steps will help to open many blockages, but if you cannot open the blockage with these steps, you should try to get help from a plumber instead of using chemicals.
